WordPress has been the engine behind every website I’ve built. Over the years, I’ve navigated its quirks, celebrated its updates, and learned exactly how to push the boundaries of what this CMS can do. Now, I’m ready to share that journey with you.
The WP Edit isn’t just another resource site; it’s a space built on a few core beliefs:
1. Moving Beyond the Basics
Most people know WordPress can host a blog or a business site, but there are layers of capability that often go untapped. I want to pull back the curtain on the features you might not be aware of – the ones that turn a “standard” site into something truly special.
2. Independent & Authentic Views
The WordPress ecosystem is massive. It’s easy to get lost in the noise of sponsored reviews and “top 10” lists. I’m creating this space to offer my honest, independent perspective on how to use the platform effectively. If I recommend a workflow or a tool, it’s because I’ve used it and believe in it.
3. High Quality, Low Cost
You don’t need a massive budget to build a professional website. I’m a big believer in the power of the open-source community. There is an incredible wealth of free themes and plugins that can enhance your site just as well as (if not better than) their premium counterparts. I’ll show you how to reduce your overhead without sacrificing quality.
4. A Space for Conversation
Building on the web can be a lonely endeavor. I want The WP Edit to be more than a one-way street. I’m launching this to encourage conversation, hear your challenges, and learn from each other as we build.
The Countdown is On
I’ll be officially launching the full site on May 1st. Between now and then, I’ll be sharing more about our upcoming “Account” features and diving into the categories we’ll be covering.
I’d love to hear from you: What is the one thing about WordPress that always trips you up? Let’s start the conversation below.
A Note on Independence
To keep things clear from day one: The WP Edit is an independent resource. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WordPress.org, Automattic, or the WordPress Foundation. This is a personal project fueled by a passion for the CMS and a desire to help others use it better.
